An elderly Limassol man reported to police that he was robbed of €40 and a mobile phone in his home early Tuesday morning.

Two brazen bandits dressed in black entered the 81-year-old’s house at 3.20am while he slept according to the account he gave the police. Waking up because they decided to turn the light on in his corridor he confronted them, only to be threatened with what he described as a replica pistol.

The robbers then tied up the pensioner, demanding money off him. He obliged them with the €40 contents of his wallet.

After turning the house upside down and stealing his cheap mobile phone, the perpetrators untied the victim and fled the scene.

The two are described as of normal physique with a height of 170 to 190 cm.
