
Police said they were looking into a case of burglary, theft and arson
after they were called to a Limassol house early Tuesday.
“It was around 12.10am today (Tuesday) when police receive information
that a fire had broken out in the Limassol residence of a 47-year-old
man. Members of the police and fire services immediately made their
way to the scene and put out the fire.”
Police say that from investigations carried out, it was verified that
the fire had been set on purpose, and that before it was set, unknown
persons had burgled the house, stealing two televisions.
Limassol CID, who are investigating the case say the interior of the
house as well as its contents suffered extensive damage.
