The council of Limassol cultural institutions has called on the government to tweak restrictions and allow people to partake in cultural events.
“We believe that the measures could, even now, be adjusted in such a way that would grant the opportunity for the continued existence of cultural institutions, organisations and events,” the council announced on Monday.
Limassol and Paphos are facing the toughest coronavirus restrictions, compared to the other districts, including an 8pm to 5am curfew.
“The council of Limassol cultural institutions expresses its support towards the associations and cultural organisations that are making superhuman efforts to maintain… the citizen’s relationship with culture,” they said.
The council further cited greater financial support for the relevant sector while the need to make adjustments to the restrictions.
