A construction worker was being treated for back injury on Tuesday after he fell from a scaffolding while working on a high-rise building in Limassol.
Reports said the man’s condition was not serious.
The worker was working on a floor some 65 metres above ground level when he lost his balance and fell 1.5 metres to the floor below.
The construction crane had to be used to lower the man to the ground because the fire service equipment could not reach that high.
He was transferred to the Limassol general hospital, reportedly with spine injuries, where he was to undergo examinations.
