
A grenade blast in the early morning hours of Wednesday caused damage to façade of a tavern in the Zakaki area of Limassol, police said.
No one was injured in the 4.25am incident.
Investigators determined that the blast was caused by a fragmentation grenade. It went off outside the establishment’s entrance, police said.
The explosion caused damage to the entrance and the façade of the tavern belonging to a 52-year-old. Damage was also caused to a car parked nearby.
