An explosive device planted under a car early Friday in Zakaki, Limassol, caused the destruction of two cars belonging to a couple.
Police say that at around 2.30am an explosion took place under a car belonging to a 37-year-old woman, which was parked under a shelter adjoining her house.
A fire, which broke out after the explosion spread to her husband’s car, parked next to hers, police said.
Preliminary investigation of the scene pointed to the cause being a high explosive improvised device.
