A CAR went up in flames in Limassol in the early hours on Wednesday, probably due to arson.
At around 3.20am, the car belonging to a 45-year-old woman in the parking lot of an apartment block, was set on fire.
Fire fighters extinguished the blaze which caused extensive damage to the front of the vehicle. The building was also slightly damaged by the smoke and heat.
According to preliminary investigations, arson appears to be the cause. More tests will be carried out later on.
Another arson attack slightly damaged Vlachos restaurant in Kotsia Tepe street in Larnaca in the morning.
The fire broke out at 5.08am and was brought under control within ten minutes.
