An early morning blast caused extensive damage to a car belonging to a 50-year-old man from Limassol, police said on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the 2am explosion.
Police said the blast was caused by a pipe-bomb placed in the front end of the vehicle that was parked outside the owner’s home.
Such incidents, as well as arsons, are not uncommon in Cyprus and only involve material damage.
They are usually blamed on personal differences or efforts by the underworld to intimidate people.
