The Embassy of France and the French Institute of Cyprus, along with Alliance Française Limassol, announced they will live broadcast the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris on Friday.
The event is set to take place at the Limassol Molos starting at 7.45pm with a short musical program and speeches, while the broadcast will begin at 8.30pm.
This event is organised in collaboration with the Limassol Municipality and is to be attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Lina Kassianidou, French Ambassador to Cyprus Salina Grenet-Catalano, and Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis.
The broadcast will allow attendees to enjoy the spectacular events set to take place on the banks of the Seine, aided by subtitles in Greek and in English. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
In their announcement the organisers noted that the event’s exclusive sponsor is TotalEnergies.
